Hit up this spot on a weekend trip to Asheville after reading some super positive reviews from other scouts. It did not disappoint! One of the best fried chicken dishes I’ve had. The chicken was both extremely crispy and juicy, and it was smothered in a rich sausage gravy... all on top of a fluffy cheddar biscuit. I got some awesome crispy fries on the side as well. Can’t beat it! It sounds weird but, for such a seemingly big, rich, over the top meal, it actually felt relatively light - really well made and fresh. My wife got the “redneck pot pie” and loved that too. There was a ton of other stuff on the menu that looked interesting that we’ll have to try on another trip. Overall, this place has big time food and really friendly staff in a cool, casual, unpretentious setting, all for a good price. We will definitely be back every time we are in Asheville.
