Whenever I have a donut craving, nothing hits the spot like an old fashioned donut from Sunny's Donuts in Gaffney, SC. These donuts have a more cake than yeast texture, covered in a light, sweet, crackly glaze, and they easily pull apart in pieces in your hand. The old fashioned comes in several flavors, including original and blueberry, but the chocolate is my favorite because you can taste the real cocoa that gives it a rich chocolate flavor. Sunny's uses sour cream in its old fashioned donuts to provide them their moist texture and deep cake flavor. It's always a Sunny day when I have a chocolate old fashioned donut.
