Pumpkin Cheesecake at Earl's Grocery in Charlotte, NC. Earl's is one of my favorite spots in Charlotte. Cool store, friendly staff, and great food. The pumpkin cheesecake is one of their seasonal desserts. Not your typical NY style cheesecake. The bottom was more like a pie crust than a graham cracker crust. And the cake was light and fluffy, but still very rich. Kind of a hybrid between pumpkin pie and cheesecake; not just a pumpkin-flavored cheesecake. Tasted similar to a pumpkin roll dessert, which is pumpkin cake with a cream cheese icing swirl. I also liked the pumpkin seeds on top because it gave the dessert some texture/crunch.
