08/28/17 I know, you're like, "Gurrrl, why you tellin' me to get a tri-tip sandwich from a vintage cheese joint?" Friends, you will just have to trust me. This place is not just for those who love charcuterie. It's a kitschy place along the I-99, A perfect stop, especially if you're traveling from Los Angeles to Sacramento, which we were. I have been here before to check it out because it looked like an old farm from the freeway. And I had to go to the bathroom. But I didn't try the food. A friend suggested meeting here for lunch on our way to our river trip. Because it was an early lunch, I just ordered a kids size tri-tip sandwich. I really enjoyed it because it was all about the meat. The meat was tasty. There was nothing else but a light sauce-- no cheese, no onion, no topping. The bread had a buttery flavor. All together, it was one delicious bite after another. The flavor belonged to the meat. The end. I enjoyed it so much that we stopped here again for lunch on the way back home. I kept it real and got the regular size. Side note: It's a regular size try tip sandwich came with coleslaw. For the kids size (pictured), I had to order it separately as a side. The coleslaw was delicious as well. One of the best coleslaws I've ever had. The cabbage was shredded perfectly (not too thin) and the sweet and tangy flavors were perfectly balanced. This place is definitely worth a stop. In addition to the restaurant and delicious food, they have a country store with fresh cheese and other local products. They also have an ice cream shop (next scouting report) with amazing ice cream that even lactose tolerant people would Not be able to say 'no' to. Kids and wanna-be kids will love the petting zoo, putt putt golf, and two tree houses. If you decide to heed my suggestion and check this out, make sure you go to the one on I-99 called Bravo Farms Vintage Cheese, as are several Bravo Farms along with the 99 and the 5 Freeways.
