Old Thyme Grocery from all outside appearances is a hole in the wall. This place, however, has been a popular spot in downtown Lafayette since 1982. If you talk to anyone from the student body of nearby University of Lafayette, they call tell you about Old Thyme. The first recommendation that most will give is the Shrimp Po Boy. I went here twice in my 4 day stay and the Shrimp selection certainly my favorite. There a lots of good sandwiches, however, and always a special of the day with a unique slant. If you are in Lafayette at lunch time, this is a place you will want to visit.
