This dish is and will always be a starter in my family. We order this every time as a default side along with the calimari. Clams and scallops are my two favorites in the mollusk group. My brother and I would go to town on these delicious clams with black bean sauce, garlic, onions, and green peppers. It’s sad to hear Jin Wah has closed down and been replaced by a new Chinese restaurant. Jin Wah was my families go to for Chinese Vietnamese fusion. We always went during linner hours between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM and the staff would seat us in the large middle tables of the restaurant, away from everyone else who were all seated along the border window seats as they prepared and kept clean the rest of the tables for dinner. We were social distancing before it was even prominent. They knew our family style orders wouldn’t fly at window tables. Jin Wah will be missed and all the meal memories containing this particular dish. It’ll never be the same.
