Two of my favorite desserts fused into one. Donut meets banana pudding. This handmade gourmet donut was a delicious way to celebrate national donut day. Everything made fresh from scratch using high quality ingredients. Carmelized banana pudding mushed in between a fried hand rolled donut bun with powdered sugar topped with a “queens crown” mini cookie. The donut bun wasn’t super sweet as to allow the banana pudding to really expel it’s flavor. I would love to try a chicken sandwich or a peanut butter burger with this donut bun. We’ve seen people do the Krispy Kreme glazed donuts with a burger patty in between, but I think this donut would make a way better bun as it’s density can withhold much more and it felt like I was holding a doughy, yet crunchy bagel. It’s definitely a different style donut shop that can get mixed reviews. The banana pudding donut is by far their best featured item. I’ve tried the cookie dough, Nutella filled, apple fritter, and cinnamon roll. All lackluster. They offer vegan donuts and promote using real ingredients and never synthetic, which is great and all, but let’s be 100% honest, if I’m going to get a donut, I’m not trying to short cheat myself by getting a “healthy” donut. Save yourself and just go all in on the banana pudding donuts. Steep price point at around $4 a donut, but they’re worth it. Happy National Donut Day.
