I'd grabbed dinner in the East Village with some buddies and we were on the prowl for some ice cream when we cam across Stuffed. It advertised fun ice cream flavors and doughnut ice cream sandwiches (that they call "cruffs"), so were were all in. There is a wide range of flavor/topping/cone/sandwich options and you could create your own masterpiece, but I went with a signature cruff called the Cereal Killer. It consisted of a scoop of Fruity Pebbles ice cream and a scoop of Cinnamon Toast Crunch ice cream stuffed into a split doughnut and topped with Captain Crunch. Needless to say it was quite sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. I especially like the CTC ice cream - I thought it would be overly cinnamon-y, but it was really balanced and truly delicious. The doughnut everything sits on is bigtime on its own as well. It actually stood up pretty well to the ice cream and just got better as it soaked up some of the melting ice cream - although I downed this in about 2 minutes so it didn't have much chance to melt! The best dessert I've had in a long time! Open 2pm to 11 or midnight depending on the day.
