03/06/19 Fried Chicken at Soi 112 Fried Chicken Stall in Hua Hin, Thailand. I love fried chicken, and this version at a mom and pop stall in Hua Hin, Thailand, absolutely blew me away and was unlike any other fried chicken I’ve ever had. So much so, that I’m making it just my 13th Hall of Fame dish on Bigtime Bites. The herbs and spices were spectacular, and the skin was crispy, yet not so brittle from frying that you couldn’t taste and appreciate the incredible flavors from the seasoning. Ultra moist on the inside, I ate several pieces of this fried chicken along with sticky rice each morning for five straight days. If you get anywhere near Hua Hin, Thailand, which is a beach town three hours south of Bangkok, this home made fried chicken is a must try and will likely be the best fried chicken you’ve ever had. Located 50 yards west of the 7-11 convenience store on Soi 112, they start frying chicken at roughly 6:00 a.m. and stop in the late morning or early afternoon. Run by a super friendly couple, note that they also change locations (kind of like a pop-up restaurant), but Hua Hin is small enough that you should be able to find it if you look hard enough (scroll through the pics on my Instagram to see what the stall and signs look like). This place is BIGTIME!!!
