Lobster Tacos at Casa del Lago in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I rarely eat breakfast, but I couldn’t resist these Lobster Tacos for breakfast at Casa del Lago during every single day of our stay at the Rosewood Mayakoba hotel. Along with their fabulous breakfast buffet, Casa del Lago has an ala carte menu that you can order from and is included as part of the buffet. While the actual ala carte dish was lobster & eggs, I requested lobster tacos and they happily obliged. Fresh and plentiful, the lobster was pan fried along with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Guacamole along with two different salsas (both terrific) came with the tacos. I was given my choice of blue corn tortillas or white flour tortillas, and on this day, I chose flour tortillas, which were lightly pan fried to provide a slight crispness to the shell. Rosewood Mayakoba is among the top 5 hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Amazing property, fantastic service, and incredible attention to detail.
