Being introduced to the Torta was a pleasant surprise for me when I moved to Houston. There are many locations within the city that make this great sandwich but none can hold a candle to Las Tortas Perronas. Their Tortas are so delicious. This specific one is the Huerfanita, breaded skirt steak with ham and franks on a bed of melted cheese, avocado with a chipolte sauce. Even as I type this, my mouth is watering. This establishment has a 4.8 rating or better on every other social media site. The next time you're in the mood for a sandwich, ditch the cookie cutter five dollar footlong and go get this. You will not regret your decision.
